Pregnancy Massage
Your body goes through so many changes during pregnancy, and with them can come new aches and pains. Common ones are lower back and hip pain, a sore upper back and neck, tight calves and swollen feet. Pregnancy massage is adapted at every stage so you're supported and comfortable.
How it works: You'll lie on your side, comfortably supported throughout.
When you can book: Any time in your pregnancy, from the early weeks right through to labour.
Session lengths: 60 or 90 minutes.
Labour Prep Pregnancy Massage
An in-clinic massage available from 37–38 weeks, with the go-ahead from your midwife. We work to relax your body and get it ready for labour, with gentle acupressure points throughout the treatment to help encourage labour.
A gentle reminder: it's not a guarantee that labour will start, but another tool in your toolbox to encourage it to begin.
Session lengths: 60 or 90 minutes.
Mobile Labour Massage (by request)
I offer a mobile labour massage service, so you can have hands-on support during labour itself. Labour doesn't run to a timetable, so this service depends on whether I'm free when you need me. That's why it can't be booked online.
When labour starts, call or message me on 0414 878 709 and I'll let you know if I can come to you.
I can come to you at home or in hospital, and we can make a plan together at the time.
Postpartum Massage
Once you've had a baby, you're postpartum for life. Postpartum massage, sometimes called postnatal massage, focuses on the changes pregnancy and birth leave in your body, easing the tension that builds in your neck, shoulders, back and hips.
After a caesarean: we can start whenever you are ready, with you lying on your side. Lying face down usually waits until around six weeks.
Newborns are welcome to come along to your appointment.
